I'm thinking I was really good this year because Santa did this Mama right. Each gift I received for Christmas was full of thought; each gift completely me. I didn't ask for anything - so to know that my loved ones really do know and love me well is pretty dang sweet.

One of my new toys is a telephoto lens. In my mind, I have a "want" list for my photography passion. A nice zoom lens is on it - maybe like 3rd or 4th in the line up; creating a new professional-ish website with all the appropriate accoutrements taking up 1st and 2nd place, currently. And that new website along with where I plan on taking my portraiture photography this new year makes me feel like a girl with her toes dipped in the ocean, the sun shining on her back. To have my loved ones unexpectedly give me such a thoughtful gift that in my mind was still pretty far off just rocks.
A couple days ago we went to the zoo. Just before leaving I took my 50mm (my love!) lens off and put on my new 55-250mm. {click here if you're interested in the tech dirt} Other than the handful of photos I took at the zoo, I've only taken one other photo using this lens so far. I can't tell you too much about it yet except that I'm getting quite smitten.
Little child, little child, what do you see?
I see a grizzly bear looking at me!
While grizzly bears are supremely awesome, we all know that's not really my thing.
And here's one my hubby took unbeknownst to me. One I actually quite like...

I can't get over your grizzly pics. The detail is amazing. Love how your camera bag is growing, and I am so excited to see all the new photo opportunities that come your talented way.
